Serious car collision sends 5 Maryland residents to hospitals
A two-car accident that recently occurred has resulted in five individuals being injured, two of them critically. The accident occurred in Clinton, Prince George’s County. When a Maryland resident is involved in a similar serious car collision due to the negligence of another driver, the victim is legally entitled to file a personal injury suit against the responsible party or parties.
The Prince George’s County police received a call of an accident around 7:37 p.m. on a recent Monday in May. Upon arriving at the scene of the accident, police discovered a car and a pickup truck had been involved in a serious accident. After their preliminary investigation, the police estimated that two vehicles had collided head-on.
The sedan’s sole occupant was rushed to a local hospital via helicopter to be treated for life-threatening injuries. The pickup truck’s four occupants were also inured. Two received only minor injuries, while the other two suffered more serious injuries, one critical.
This car collision is currently under investigation, but it is possible that one of the driver’s negligence caused or contributed to the accident. As such, the injured victim or victims may decide to pursue a civil claim against the driver who is determined to be at fault for the crash. A successfully litigated claim could result in monetary compensation that could help the victims regain their normal life prior to the incident. Car accidents like these are unfortunate no matter the circumstances, and Maryland residents deserve to know their options if this happens to them.
