Car accident in Odenton County injures 3
Three Maryland individuals were injured in a recent two-car accident. The car accident occurred in Odenton County on a recent Monday morning in May, fire officials said. Although specifics of this accident are forthcoming, it is possible that one of the drivers’ negligence was a contributing factor in the accident.
The firefighters responded to the report of a car accident that included trapped occupants around 7 a.m., according to fire officials. When they arrived, they discovered that both vehicles were off the road. Three individuals were trapped in one vehicle.
After around 20 minutes of attempting to remove the passengers, a 20-year-old woman, as well as another passenger, were removed from the vehicle. They were rushed to a local trauma center for the serious injuries they suffered in the crash. The driver of the car, a 50-year-old woman, was extricated around 10 minutes later by the firefighters and was flown to a another shock trauma center to be treated for serious injuries not reported to be life-threatening. The driver of the second vehicle suffered only minor injuries and was taken to a local medical center for treatment.
The investigation into this car accident is ongoing. In the event that charges are formally filed against one of the drivers and prosecutors secure a conviction on a charge related to the accident, this might be used as evidence in a personal injury claim. The conviction could help to establish negligence on the part of the driver, which is required to be proved before the court will consider an award of damages. Maryland residents who are victims of similar car accidents typically consult experienced personal injury attorneys to assess the validity of their claims, as well as to provide legal advice and support when needed.
