4 Maryland residents dead after high speed car accident
Many factors can contribute to motor vehicle collisions in Maryland. Driver negligence, driving under the influence, speeding and the distraction of technological devices in the vehicle can all play a role in car accidents that are simple fender benders to those that claim lives. Driving a vehicle recklessly puts other motorists and the operator in great danger, as the condition of the roads can change in a matter of minutes. Police have recently identified the four victims in a car accident that is allegedly the result of excessive speeding.
According to reports, the 30-year-old male driver of the vehicle that is accused of the deadly accident has had numerous traffic violations over the last 11 years. This particular accident claimed his life and the lives of three others. Authorities are continuing to investigate to provide the families of those lost with some explanation.
With accident reconstruction, authorities have decided that the man was driving his vehicle at speeds over 100 miles per hour when he lost control of his vehicle and struck another car. This first accident caused some damage to both vehicles and sent the assaulting car into an oncoming lane. Once heading the wrong way, the offending vehicle then struck a sedan head-on, killing the 19-year-old pregnant female driver and her two passengers.
Car accidents can change the outcomes of so many lives for those not only involved in the accident, but their loved ones as well. Victims or the loved ones of those who have lost their lives in a car accident that was the result of another driver’s negligence have the option to seek compensation in a civil court. With the aid of an experienced Maryland attorney, a successful claim could help the victims and their families cover medical expenses and final costs.
