Warmer Maryland weather increases likelihood of an auto accident

As the weather warms up, so does the traffic on busy Maryland streets and once-quiet back roads. Longer days and summer breaks from school have most out enjoying the warmth and company of friends who, during the cold wintery months, might not have had so much free time. With more people out and on the roads, the likelihood of an auto accident occurring increases. Even the most experienced drivers are not exempt.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded to a car crash on June 1, 2017. The call came in around 7:30 p.m. It was reported that a pickup truck and a small car collided at a busy intersection.

An 18-year-old male was driving the small car. He was transported to a local hospital and to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Three passengers in his vehicle, an 18-year-old male, a 21-year old male and a 19-year-old woman, were transported to a local shock trauma center. The driver of the pickup, a 61-year-old male, was also taken to a local hospital and treated for injuries. Police are still investigating.

Whatever the reason for an auto accident, Maryland residents have options to help in covering the financial pitfalls. The injuries resulting from a car crash can cause a multitude of injuries that could leave the victims hospitalized, unable to work or even worse.
