Police say negligent driver responsible for Maryland crash
Whether driving for employment or personal errands, the highway can be a dangerous place. Road conditions, weather and other drivers are all factor that can make operating a motor vehicle a treacherous chore. A Maryland motorist is responsible for following all traffic laws. Traveling eastbound through a busy intersection, a small car struck another vehicle that was traveling southbound through the same intersection. The adult male and his passenger, an adult female, who were in the offending vehicle, were taken to a local shock trauma center. They are said to be have suffered life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle that was struck, an adult female, was transported to a local hospital and is being treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The accident, which occurred around 5:30 p.m., is believed to be the fault of the driver of the small car. Authorities say he failed to stop for a red signal, but charges have not been filed yet. Police are continuing to investigate.
