Maryland doctor and rising singer dies in car accident
Those working in the medical field are subjected to abnormally high rates of stress. Couple the stress with lack of sleep from long shifts, and the combination can lead to unfortunate outcomes, especially while driving. A Maryland doctor lost his life in a recent car accident.
The man was killed in a single car crash on June 10, 2017. The young doctor was also a rising singing sensation after he appeared on stage with Boyz II Men in January. A video he had posted of himself singing went viral and led to an audition for America’s Got Talent. The 29-year-old was to appear on the popular television show sometime in July.
Reports indicate that the doctor was riding in the passenger seat when his friend, the driver, fell asleep behind the wheel. The car then veered off the road and struck a tree head-on. A passenger in the backseat, as well as the driver, survived the crash. Drugs and alcohol are not being considered as factors. The victim succumbed to his injuries the following morning.
The loss of life under such circumstances is devastating. The talent and treasures of those taken too soon leave a hole in the hearts of loved ones and those who are touched by the actions or words of those who die before their time. This young Maryland doctor not only healed with his hands, but he also touched souls with his voice. When a loved one is lost in a car accident that is the result of another driver’s actions, the surviving family may seek the assistance of an attorney to possibly file a wrongful death lawsuit. Any monies awarded from a successful claim can help cover the final costs for the victim and other monetary losses recognized by applicable laws.
