Man dies in recent Maryland car accident, woman facing charges

When Maryland residents are the victims of vehicular accidents, the effects may be life altering. The accident occurred on Sept. 24, around 10:30 a.m. The 78-year-old Ellicott City man was struck by a 28-year-old Ellicott City woman’s car, which she was driving on the wrong side of the road. The man had been walking alongside a road when he was hit.

The man was rushed to Shock Trauma, but died about a month later, on Oct. 20. Police say that they later learned that the driver had been under the influence of drugs, as they were discovered in her vehicle. The woman is now facing vehicular manslaughter charges.
